Terms of Service
Last updated1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the RPS Brawl website, Twitch Extension, games, and related services (together, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old and legally permitted to use the Service. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.
2. What RPS Brawl provides
RPS Brawl lets streamers host live Rock Paper Scissors tournaments and lets viewers join and play through the web or the RPS Brawl Twitch Extension. The Service may include beta or experimental features that can change or be removed at any time.
RPS Brawl is provided for entertainment. RPS Brawl does not operate wagering, gambling, or real-money prize competitions. If a streamer independently offers a promotion or prize, that streamer is solely responsible for its rules, eligibility, delivery, taxes, and legal compliance. RPS Brawl does not sponsor or administer it unless expressly stated.
3. Twitch and your account
Some features require you to sign in with Twitch or share your Twitch identity with the Extension. You are responsible for your Twitch account and for all activity performed through it. Do not impersonate another person or use an account without permission.
Twitch is a third-party service with its own terms and privacy practices. RPS Brawl is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or controlled by Twitch, except to the extent the Extension is distributed on Twitch’s platform.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- cheat, automate moves, exploit bugs, or manipulate tournament outcomes;
- harass others, impersonate others, or submit unlawful or abusive content;
- interfere with the Service, its networks, or another person’s use of it;
- probe, bypass, or defeat security, authentication, or access controls;
- reverse engineer or copy the Service except where the law expressly permits it;
- use the Service in violation of applicable law or Twitch’s rules.
We may remove participants, invalidate results, restrict access, or suspend the Service when reasonably necessary to protect players, tournament integrity, or the Service.
5. Gameplay and availability
Matches may be resolved automatically under published game rules, including timeouts, byes, draw limits, and random resolution when players do not act or a match would otherwise stall. Network delay, browser behavior, disconnection, or service errors may affect a result. Gameplay decisions made by the Service are final.
We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may maintain, modify, limit, or discontinue any part of it without liability.
6. Ownership and permission to use the Service
RPS Brawl and its software, artwork, branding, and other original materials are owned by RPS Brawl or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant RPS Brawl permission to process and display your Twitch username, tournament participation, and related gameplay information as needed to operate and present the Service.
7. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RPS Brawl and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. RPS Brawl’s total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid RPS Brawl for the Service during the previous 12 months or €100. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
9. Ending access
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or the Service, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to jeremy@rps-brawl.com.
